Amid fears of LNG supply interruptions due to the war in the Middle East, the
British spot gas price rallied by 43% to 114 p/therm on Monday, the strongest
level in a year. Further along the curve, the Summer 2026 delivery contract
climbed nearly 35% to 103.28 p/therm, its highest level in eight months, as the
market faces heightened vulnerability given the threat of supply disruptions and
EU storage levels at only 30%.
