Oil prices jumped on Monday to their highest level since 2022 after Saudi
Arabia and other OPEC producers curtailed supply amid the escalating U.S.–
Israeli conflict with Iran. Additional concerns over fuel availability in Asia also
supported the rally, particularly after China and Thailand announced temporary
export bans last week. Brent crude climbed by almost 7% to close near $99 per
barrel.
