Crude oil prices extended their rally on Thursday, with crude climbing to its
highest level in more than six months as geopolitical risks intensified. Ongoing
tensions between the US and Iran, coupled with stalled progress in negotiations
to end the Russia–Ukraine conflict, kept risk premiums elevated. Hence, Brent
crude increased by nearly 2% to $71.66 per barrel.
