Crude oil prices rose on Tuesday following reports that the US had shot down
an Iranian drone near a US aircraft carrier, while attention turned to nuclear
talks scheduled for Friday in Turkey. Despite heightened rhetoric from President
Trump, markets remained cautious about the prospects for a lasting de-
escalation, given the limited progress of previous negotiations. Hence, Brent
crude increased by 1.6% to $67.33 per barrel.
