Crude oil prices rose on Wednesday after reports that the U.S. was preparing to
send a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East amid rising tensions with Iran.
Traders also assessed fresh U.S. economic data and monitored travel demand
ahead of a major Chinese holiday. Hence, Brent crude increased by nearly 1%
to $69.40 per barrel.
