British forward wholesale gas prices continued to rise on Wednesday following
the recent vessels hit in the Strait of Hormuz, where about 20% of global LNG
supply passes. Hence, the Q2 2026 contract jumped by 5.3% to 124.05
p/therm. Similarly, the NBP spot price rose by 5.6% to 123.00 p/therm.
