The  ECB  is  widely  expected  to  holdinterest rates steady for a third straight meeting, as inflation remains subduedand the Eurozone economy shows signs of stabilization.The  EUR/GBP  rate  edged  0.5%  higher  at  0.8807,  with  the  Pound  underpressure following weak inflation data and the anticipation of an Autumn Budgetthat  could  include  higher  taxes.  A  Citi  report  highlighted  that  the  Labourgovernment may increase dividend and consumption taxes to address a £35billion fiscal shortfall.
